At Sunburst Clinic CONFIDENTIAL testing is performed. This means that we do not require any ID or proof of income, residency, or immigration status.

Sunburst Clinic is INCLUSIVE

Any gender, any orientation, and race: you are safe here. We want you to come in, we want you to have a safe sex life no matter what that means to you. Our office is also wheelchair accessible.

Sunburst Clinic is DISCREET

We are located in office building in the Arden Arcade area on the second floor. Our clinic has no outside branding or signage that discloses what we do. Your privacy is our first concern, which is why we allow confidential testing.

We provide free sexual health services so that you can have the sex you want and be confident about your health. We offer a variety of free services, including HIV & sexually-transmitted infection (STI) testing, at our clinic in the Arden area of Sacramento. We believe sexual health shouldn’t come with judgement.

Sunburst Clinic, all of the programs and services it offers are funded by an Ending the HIV Epidemic Grant through the US Centers for Disease Control, a grant from The CARES Foundation and from individual donations.

GET STARTED

HIV AND STD TESTING & TREATMENT

We offer free, confidential testing for HIV, hepatitis C, chlamydia and gonorrhea. HIV and hepatitis results are available in approximately 20 minutes. If you visit the Sunburst Clinic for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea testing, you will receive your results once they are available from the off-site laboratory. A member of our clinic team will deliver your test results via email or fax in approximately 3-5 days, once they are available. Individuals requiring treatment are referred to a medical provider of your choice, or the Sacramento County Sexual Health Clinic.

At this time, we do not offer testing for syphilis. Our staff will be happy to provide you with a referral to an organization that does. Prep starter packs and information pamphlets are available.

We also offer access to Julie, an Emergency Contraception, which is available for a $20 donation.

Condoms and lube are available free of charge.

Our free clinic is funded by grants and donations from our community. If you have the means, please consider a donation today.

PrEP RESOURCES

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) can reduce your chance of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV. It has been approved for all genders and sexualities and is free for most California residents through insurance and cost-covering programs. There are multiple ways to get a PrEP prescription, even if you don’t have insurance.
